Weekend Edition: San Diego Zoo

This week I had to go back to California for work. It was actually a short trip and the weather was just what you would typically expect for Southern California. It was 80 degrees and sunny.  Nice change since we left about 24 hours after we were finally dug out from 3 feet of snow.

Before heading back to Connecticut we stopped by the San Diego Zoo. Mr. J likes animals. The more exotic the better. He has been itching at the chance to come here for the last few months.

We hit on feeding time for just about every animal.  Of course I had to take pictures.

My favorite part with the Panda bears. There hands are so cute and this one was munching away. Did you see the picture above of how he was sitting.  Those bent knees were too much for me.

My second favorite part was the elephants. I didn't get a good picture of it but this one was dancing away.  I mean really swaying back and forth like she was rocking to some good tunes.

And yes I decided this one is a female and the panda was a male.  We can call them Ted and Sally.

The monkeys were also a good time although I completely lost track of where we were at this point.  The Zoo has many pathways and cut throughs.  We pretty much wandered around clueless.

So if you are in San Diego, or nearby, go to the zoo.  Just don't bank on good human food.  Lunch was awful!

And in case you missed any posting this week, here is what I was up to:

      2. Sounds and looks like you had a great time at the zoo. We went to a local zoo last summer and now looking forward to sunny days to go again.
