Kouzzina by Cat Cora
I would have to say that I thought it was a bit extreme when Jordan suggested we go out again for our Anniversary while in Disney. After the mess of the hurricane we went out to a nice restaurant on the water and had a wonderful meal. Now two weeks later another celebration? Although it was on the excessive side, you don't have to ask me twice to celebrate. Especially when a good meal is at stake. We picked a new restaurant at Disney, Kouzzina by Cat Cora on the Disney Boardwalk.
I knew the night was going to be a good one when we were seated right by the oven kitchen. I made the right choice of husband too when he immediately let me sit with the view.
We started out with the Greek salad. Mr. J loves Greek salads and it is one of the few times he was happy to grab a vegetable at a restaurant.
The waiter reccomended the Saganaki, which is seared Greek cheese with lemon and oregano. How could we say no? Both were absolutely delicious. At this point, as with most good meals, I could have stopped and been absolutely satisfied. Instead, we had some bread and a sampling of olives and olive oil. Good olive oil is so good. I find olives themselves to be too salty but I think I could drink the oil. Not really, but I love soaking my bread in it. We behaved ourselves and only had one piece of bread each to try the two oils.
For the entrees we picked our top two choices and shared.
Traditional Whole Fish – Pan-roasted with Braised Greens, Greek Olives, Fennel, and Smoked Chili Wood-grilled New York Strip Steak with fresh Herb Saltsa and Kouzzina Potatoes
Being at such a close distance from the kitchen, I was able to spy on all of the dishes served. We loved each of our meals but now also have a list of what we will try out next time. Unfortunately we were so full from our dinner that dessert was not in the plans. However, again we have a list of what will come with our next visit. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone going to Disney. It is one of the best meals I have had in all of my trips.

Happy Anniversary! We just celebrated 15 yesterday! I'll have to try this restaurant the next time I'm over at Disney! By the way, there is always room for dessert ;)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious! All the times I've been to Disney (I've had an annual pass for eleven years) I've NEVER been to Kouzzina's. It looks amazing!
