The Super Bowl may be savory snacks for many people (including my husband) but when I think parties, I think sweet desserts.
Of our Super Bowl menu, the only thing I really wanted was brownies. Yes, a big old pan of chocolate brownies.
Now, when it comes to brownies I get kind of lazy. For some reason they seem like a lot of effort to make from scratch. Even with the extra effort I still normally use my go to brownie recipe. However, brownie mixes happened to be $1 at the grocery store this week. I sat there staring the boxes down thinking how could I not buy some.
Thus, our Super Bowl brownies came from a box mix. It was easy, simple, and $1. Feel free to use any brownie recipe though. The peanut butter swirl was just a fun add on as were the chocolate chips. I figured if I was going to go with a box mix at least I could add some delicious extras.

Keywords: bake dessert chocolate peanut butter brownies
Ingredients (serves 24)
- 1 box brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Make brownie mix according to directions on box with eggs, oil, and water.
Add in mini chocolate chips and gently combine.
Pour batter into a greased 9x13 pan.
Take melted peanut butter (I melted the peanut butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds) and pour into brownie pan in lines until it is all gone. Take a knife and swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter by moving in perpendicular directions to the peanut butter lines.
Bake for 25 minutes or until brownies are done.
