Friday Five: Super Bowl Snacks

I am flying to Chicago for work on Sunday afternoon so there will be no Super Bowl party for me.  Instead I am making a few things on Saturday and then just dreaming of the snacks I am going to miss.  With all of the other delicious postings out there I know I will be dreaming well.

The homemade Smart Food I made the other day is my new favorite thing to eat.  I cannot get enough.

Pizza
Football only seems right with a bit of pizza on the side. I love that you can customize this option for who ever is going to be coming over.

I think these are the perfect pop to celebrate a good play on the big day. The creamy filling with a bit of a bite from jalapeno slices is right up my alley and are sure to be a big hit with the crowd.

Nachos are the common snack food for football but they go soggy too fast for me.  Having a pot of stew on the stove will stay warm all evening long.  A topping bar is a must.

Buffalo Chicken Wings
One year we ordered an hour in advance to have chicken wings. Now Mr. J has a superb recipe and there is no stopping us having some of these babies.  The beer is a must as a chaser.  These are hot.

Chocolate Chip Cookies
You cannot go wrong with chocolate chip cookies.  Dessert is a must plus these are easily transportable.

  3. Sorry you will be missing it, but you can have a day prior party! All of these do look great but I am partial to the southwestern items. The jalapeno poppers and the taco stew look to be my favs-yum. Thanks for pulling these together.
Ha-at least you will not be feeling the Monday morning blues as bad as the people partying on Sunday!
