Part of Jordan's early birthday gift from my parents is a very big bag of pretzel M&Ms. For those of you not in the candy know M&Ms recently came out with two new varieties - pretzels and coconut. We had yet to true either one. However one Jordan's favorite snacks is chocolate covered pretzels. Seemed like the perfect match to have pretzel M&Ms.

Review: Pretzel M&Ms
This week is going to be quite a week. I am happy to announce that I will be home for dinner every night. I will be able to sleep in my bed every night. I think it has been well over a month since I have been able to be at home for this long in a row. It is super exciting. And what else do you ask is exciting? We are having our first overnight visitor on Wednesday. And, yes there is one more thing...Jordan's birthday is next weekend and we are going to the Food and Wine festival in NYC to celebrate. Busy, busy, busy but fun Fun, FUN!

So what did he think? He thought they were very good, very good indeed as he had the whole bag in front of him watching TV. He had hoped that there was a bit more pretzel taste. He kindly shared his birthday present with me. I thought they needed a bit more chocolate taste. Overall though I really liked them cause it was a sweet treat but not too sweet to make me think my teeth were going to rot from eating them. I kind of think they would be a great mix in with trail mix.

Why is the weekend over already?
Weekends come and go so fast. It seems like we just arrived to Maine when it was time to load up the car and come back to Connecticut. It was the perfect fall days in Maine. Cool weather and the leaves were just starting to change. The drive was beautiful. I wish I could tell you that I came home and whipped up a marvelous Sunday night dinner. I wish I could share a recipe with you tonight. I will wish but sadly reality is dinner was just a hodge podge of food. It was fine for Jordan and I since we had a big breakfast and lunch but I am truly ready to start cooking again.

Dinner ended up being a sliced tomato with salt, pepper, and olive oil, a store bought roasted chicken and some leftover Bianca cheese pizza. It was pretty good combination I thought. I have a list of recipes though for the rest of the week. I cannot wait to try them and share. The crock pot will even be making an appearance this week!
In the mean time look at this for your cooking pleasure. This is probably the last of the wedding gifts but what a way to end. It's our new pot set. I am so excited to break them in and get cooking.

Is it Friday yet?
I definitely have been taken over by some nasty illness. I am so tired and my nose is itchy, runny, and red! Really that is all but it is not making my life any easier. To boost my spirits a bit and get me through the day I am having some of this.
The logistics of when we actually use the machine have gone out the window but we love it. Now I just have to get through the next 24 hours, or maybe more like 16 but it is still a lot.
