hump day and WIAW

Mornings lately have needed some sweetness. Today was whole wheat toast with Nutella on one side and Cookie Dough Peanut Butter on the other slice.  Topped with bananas. Coffee. 

Mid morning I had a few pieces of this chocolate bar.  I thought this was a win considering I had chocolate chip cookies screaming at me. I passed on the cookie and went for the chocolate.

I completely forgot to snap a photo of my lunch. It was a slice of whole wheat toast, topped with mustard, chopped onions, and a chicken sausage.  It was very brown/beige. I was happy I had some gum afterwards. My coworkers probably would not have been too happy with me if not.

To get over the 3pm bump in the day I snacked on a few handfuls of these toasted chickpeas.  The spiciness stuck with me and I didn't start to crave a bit more sweetness later in the afternoon.

Dinner was his and her pizza. Basically it was the same (chicken sausage, green pepper, red onion, garlic) except my side was finished off with arugula. We each had two slices and saved the rest for leftovers.

What did I learn from these photos?  I had a lot of bread today. Three pieces of whole wheat bread and the pizza crust. This is why I start most days with a smoothie.

  1. oh i'll have to try that chocolate. also your breakfast and dinner sound fantastic.

  2. Omg, don't you love TJ's dark choc. bars? I love their almond bar! I totally suggest you treat yourself to the TJ's PB&J choc. Absolutely to-die for!
