Summer in Maine

What makes Maine wonderful in the summertime...

Blueberry Cake

Fresh Berries for Breakfast

The Beach.  Even when the water is freezing.  Even when there are crazy women trying to get pictures of seagulls.

Lobster Pounds on the Coast

Ice Cream with Jimmies.  Yes, jimmies not sprinkles.

Homemade Bread and Butter Pickles

If only there were more months of this and less months of SNOW!

  1. What a lovely summer! I am allergic to seafood and shellfish, so I miss a lot of Maine's summer draw...but I like ice-cream and bread and butter pickles (not necessarily together!). Enjoy your summer!

  2. I'm so envious of all that great seafood! I'm craving some lobster rolls now!

  3. This is a great tribute Maine, showcasing all the wonderful food that the state has to offer! I have never been there, but am clearly missing out. Great post!

  4. We vacationed on the coast of Maine last summer and I still think about it all the time. It was an amazing trip to an amazing place. Reading your post just makes me want to go back right now! :)

  5. A friend of mine got married in Maine. They vacation there twice a year now. It looks gorgeous. Great post. Now I want LOBSTER :)

  6. I absolutely love Maine. I have spent many summers in Camden. You just can't beat the abundance of fresh seafood and blueberries :)

  7. I love your summer collection. And like all the blog posts I enjoy you have my brain turning.
    Summer in NYC anyone LOL

  8. That is a heck of a lot of "sprinkles" on that ice cream! Looks like a fun trip!

  9. My mom lives in Camden and raves about the blueberries (and lobster of course). Loved this post.
